The Postgraduate Programme entitled "Chemical Technology and Industrial Applications" of the School of Chemistry offers a high level of postgraduate training, in the following three specializations/directions: Specialization A "Chemical and Environmental Technology". Specialization B "Chemistry and Technology of Polymers and Nanocomposite Materials". Specialization C "Food and Feed Chemistry, Technology and Control".
The educational objective of the Postgraduate Programme "Chemical Technology and Industrial Applications" is the theoretical and practical training of students in subjects of their specialization and the introduction to research. During the first two semesters, students are required to attend and successfully pass courses with a total of 60 ECTS credits. In the third semester, students conduct their Postgraduate Diploma Thesis based on research work which is credited with 30 ECTS. A total of 90 ECTS and a minimum of 3 semesters of study are required.
The aim Programme is the promotion of knowledge and the generation of highly qualified scientists with specialized skills for both research and industry, with the ultimate goal of satisfying the educational, research, social, cultural and developmental needs of the country. In particular, it aims at high level training and specialization of scientists in the fields of Chemical and Environmental Technology, Chemistry and Technology of Polymers and Nanocomposite Materials, and Chemistry, Food and Feed Chemistry, Technology and Control.
In addition to basic knowledge in their specialization, graduates acquire the ability to criticism and self-criticism, as well as the ability to seek, analyze and compose data and information, work independently or in groups, generate new ideas, promote critical productive and inductive thinking.
