The general aim of the course is the teaching of the English basic dental terminology in order to render students competent in the technical vocabulary of their field of study and enable them to meet the requirements of studying or working abroad. More specifically the course aims to: a) teach Dental English, b) help students develop skills related to their academic education and c) develop speaking, listening, writing and reading skills in the academic context. The teaching material includes dental textbooks and video presentations accompanied by language exercises. The topics covered comprise endodontics, periodontal disease and orthodontics.
