Οι φοιτητές/φοιτήτριες μελετούν προτεινόμενη βιβλιογραφία και αναλαμβάνουν να πραγματοποιήσουν τη δημόσια παρουσίση ενός θέματος. Οι φοιτητές/φοιτήτριες εκπαιδεύονται στην εργαστηριακή μικροσκοπική μελέτη αρχαιοβοτανικού υλικού και αναλαμβάνουν να ολοκληρώσουν μια άσκηση βοτανικής ταυτοποίησης. Οι φοιτητές/φοιτήτριες μελετούν μεθόδους ποιοτικής και ποσοτικής επεξεργασίας των δεδομένων. Στη συνέχεια αναλαμβάνουν να επεξεργαστούν καθένας/καθεμία χωριστά ένα σύνολο αρχαιοβοτανικών δεδομένων. Πρέπει να τα παρουσιάσουν σε υπολογιστικά φύλλα και να τα ερμηνεύσουν χρησιμοποιώντας αρχαιολογικές, παλαιοπεριβαλλοντικές και βοτανικές πληροφορίες.
