ERASMUS MUNDUS Master's Course International Master's Course under the hospices of European Commition. Cooperation between The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, The University of Liege, Belgium, The Duke University, USA and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece
Learning Outcomes
The primary goal of this course is to provide a bridge between theory of aeromechanics and the practice of turbomachinery. With the successfull completion of this course, students are expected to have the background in order to establish the boundary conditions necessary for the solution of complex aeromechanics issues. Particular attention is paid to selected test case of turbomachinery applications.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Sources of aeromechanic interactions in turbomachinery, advanced unsteady instrumentation for aerothermal applications, unsteady flow interactions as a source of unsteady mechanical forcing, transient engine operations and installation issues.

Student Assessment
Description
Continuous assessment and student interaction is the primary method of student evaluation. Students are asked to study a particular test case every week and report back with a summary of the work. Closer to end of the semester, the students prepare a presentation based on all the information gathered during the course of the study.
