Course Content (Syllabus)
Computer applications and new Information & Communication Technologies in the analysis, design and assessment of structures. State-of-the-art visual programming tools, in Windows® environment (Visual Basic 2008). Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in databases, Autocad® and spreadsheets. Programming of advanced Finite Element problems and practice in the use of the FE code ANSYS®. Particular emphasis is given on engineering statics, structural dynamics, reinforced concrete and steel structures. Programming of structural engineering problems using Matlab.
