Learning Outcomes
Course attendance should allow the students: 1. To understand the terminology and content of notions in the context of Poject Management. 2. To know the Project Mangement processes in terms of: a) content, b) goals, c) implementation requirements, d) application mode and e) outputs. 3. To know and apply or contribute to the application of the various construction project management techniques in the context of the various project management processes. 4. To identify and evaluate knowledge and information sources that shall facilitate their contunuous education in the field of construction project management.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Definition of a project (including subprojects, work packages, programs and portfolios) and project management (aim and necessity). Analysis and use of the life cycle for monitoring and control in the context of project management. Presentation and analysis of the project management processes groups (classification – dependencies – description – inputs and outputs). Presentation and analysis of the project management processes (description – inputs and outputs). Presentation and analysis of the techniques and tools used for the implementation of the project management processes. Introduction to the project management knowledge areas: Project Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Risk Management, Project Human Resource Management, Project Procurement Management, and Project Communications Management. Introduction to the knowledge areas of Leadership and Strategy. Presentation of software tools for project management. An introduction to major project management software packages. Certification for project management competences: Certification bodies, methodology, processes and content.
