Learning Outcomes
Core of the course "Elements of Digital Icon" is the conceptual approach of physical and virtual reality and the Artistic experimentation with them. The aim of the course is to understand, create, edit and manage all types of digital images (two-dimensional-three-dimensional-animation-video), Visual Strategies and Dynamic Interventions, using ALL the "current" and everyday "apps" (Print Media - webTV - Projections-Interactive Installations).

Course Content (Syllabus)
Mechanical parts of a computer and peripheral devices. Software and Operating Systems: MacOs - Windows - Linux. Fonts and Font management. Image resolution, color systems (RGB and CMYK). From scanning to printing. Digital photo editing. Graphics and Graphic File Types. Vector drawing programs (Vector) - practice. Digital Illustration Programs (Bitmap) - practice. DTP Programs - practice. Semester Works: 1. Artists Dosier with the use of Digital Media. The work is delivered in printed form (a Book) and a CD. 2. From CONCEPT to ICON: Creation and Design of a Personal Logotype and possible "adaptions" of it, as an Artistic intervention in Public Space. Working with vector drawing programs and Digital Illustration.The work is delivered in printed form and a CD.
