■ Mass production, mass consumption, mass culture ■ Design in the Post-Industrial Era ■ Miniaturization, universal design, sustainable design ■ Future Scenarios and Forecasting in Design ■ Semiotics / Semantics of industrial objects ■ Design for the Senses: materiality and sensual perception of objects ■ Design classics: case studies Instructional Resources: The conduct of the course is assisted by rich visual material in multimedia format (PowerPoint, video, documentaries). Short design exercises to introduce students to the fundamentals of design factors, methodology and proccess
