Course Content (Syllabus)
Lab for Spectroscopic Ellipsometry (ex situ, in-situ and real-time) in visible, UV and IR. Study of optical - electrical properties and lattice vibrations of low-dimensional materials, growth mechanisms, deposition rate, composition stoichiometry and surface morphology, processes and surface energy.
Lab for imaging of materials using conventional Electron Microscopy (TEM), High Resolution Electron Microscopy (HRTEM), Electron Diffraction (ED) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) , Tunneling Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) on low-dimensional materials and devices.
Lab for Segregation in chemical analysis, sample treatment techniques. Chromatography under pressure and capillary electrophoresis. Applications in biological, environmental and pharmaceutical samples.
