Course Content (Syllabus)
The course deals with current genetic and genomic technologies for the improvement in production and quality of animal and plant products. Lectures deal with genetic identification of clonal parthenogenetic organisms, cloning of productive animals, production of genetically modified organisms as well as related bioethical, legal and society issues. Additionally issues regarding production of genetically modified plants and related environmental risks are discussed. Excursions to veterinary and plant productive facilities are included
