Course Content (Syllabus)
Abstraction levels, transistor level, behavioural and transfer level. VLSI design methods and EDA tools. Simulators, editors and HDL languages, the Verilog & VHDL languages. CMOS Technology and devices. Transistor level design of basic circuits. Simulation tools, the SPICE simulation environment and physical layout design. Design of both sequential and combinational circuits. Semiconductor memories, RAM & ROM. Advanced VLSI technologies: 3D integration, nano-scale circuits.
