The course “Deeping in Criminal law” is dealing with the composition of the segmental material of criminal law taught in the previous semesters. It deepens in basic-fundamental issues of criminal dogmatic and of criminal science, and especially in issues of high concern and controversy. The discussion and analysis of these issues is either in the form of practical exercises, which sought answers, either in the form of judicial decisions, where there are already answers and sought evaluation. The aim of this course is to gain a holistic-synthetic capacity in addressing a problem of criminal law, both in terms of substantive criminal law and in terms of procedural criminal law, and the review processing of difficult and controversial issues. The course of "Deepening our Knowledges in Criminal Procedure" is an advanced course, where the main objective is examining thoroughly the most crucial and interesting doctrinal issues of Criminal Procedure, such are the pretrial detention, the committal proceedings, the presumption of innocence, basic aspects about remedies, the european arrest warrant and other important issues. The goals of this course are achieved through the presentation of real criminal cases, through student works and with the stimulation of the critical thought of the students.
