Learning Outcomes
The theological deeping on the doctrines of the Orthodox Church, in conjunction with issues posed by contemporary theological investigation of the respective periods, makes the student able to synthesize data so it can assume original theological research. b) The emergence of the unity of faith and ecclesial Tradition in the variety of manifestations of the varied historical and textual environment enhances the uptake data, so the student can become capable of producing primary research through the use of theological sources combined with contemporary literature.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Systematic interpretation of dogmatic and symbolic texts of the Orthodox Church of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Ecumenical Councils. 1. The Anthologia of the Ecumenical Councils, 2-4. The sources of the Terms (Oroi) of Ecumenical Councils, 3-6. The structure of Forms of Ecumenical Councils, 7-9. Example of the Oros of Chalcedon. The survival of the ecclesiastical tradition. 10-12. The theological composition of St. John Damascene. 13. Recruitment of conciliar forms of the Church.
