Course Content (Syllabus)
Theological analysis of the reasons of the Great Schism. The first attempts for the restoration of the christian unity. Outline of Lectures (Syllabus): 1) East - West. Spiritual differences Α´. 2) East - West. Spiritual differences Β´. 3) East - West. Spiritual differences C´. 4) Filioque in the early church. 5) Filioque in the time of Patriarch Photios. 6) Filioque in the time of the Great Schism. 7) The Primacy during the first millennium Α´. 8) The Primacy during the first millennium Β´. 9) The Primacy during the first millennium C´. 10) The practice of the Ecumenical Councils. 11) The first attempts for the restoration of the christian unity Α´. 12) The first attempts for the restoration of the christian unity Β´. 13) The Council of Ferrara-Florence(1438-1439).
