Learning Outcomes
(a) To help students fill any gaps they may have in their knowledge of ancient Greek grammar and syntax as well as to practice on translating ancient Greek texts into modern Greek. (b) To familiarize themselves with the ancient Greek dialects and the differences between the Attic dialect and all other dialects. (c) To learn the various meters of the Greek language and to exercise on reciting poetic texts.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This class includes a revision of the grammar and syntax of the ancient Greek language, exercise on reading and translating ancient Greek texts, an examination of ancient Greek dialects as well as an advanced introduction to Greek meter with exercise on recitation.
