Introduction to the science of swimming.Water-life-exercise-enviroment.History,learnig,teaching.Emphasis on hydrodynamic principles,anlaysis of movement, basic aquatic skils, and stroke mechanics.Teaching of front crawl,back crawl, and relax stroke.Swimming for education,physical activity,fitness,competion,leisure,therapy. The evaluation of the students is based on written exams combining answers of multiple choice and short and/or long answers. Additionally, they are submitted to practical examination in the water.
