Course Content (Syllabus)
Education and Cinema This lesson discusses the relationship between education and cinema in Greek society. This relationship is examined in the light of the historical context, which highlights the social, cultural and political origins of each era from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present. They also indicate the relationship between the school and the education institutions in general and the recruitment of cinema on the other, thus identifying the position that cinema takes in the context of education. In other words, it is the social representations of cinema. The first two lessons briefly present the historical course of the treatment of cinema by education and training institutions during the twentieth century. In the third lesson, we are deciding and choosing to deeply explore this relationship between education and cinema in a specific historical period (for example, one or more decades). In the fourth lesson, in terms of socio-psychological / educational research, we design the design of a study, formulating our research questions, selecting the population and the sample of our research, and constructing the data collection tools. During the next six courses, all the participants in the course collect the data that are progressively classified and analyzed based on an analysis plan that we have constructed in the course. In the next two lessons, we are working on the final results of the research in working groups and we come to the conclusions. In the last lesson, we decide on the final form of the collective work and are assigned the writing of the individual chapters in working groups. The research is presented in its final form and is discussed in front of all of the working groups at the end of the semester, the day specified by the exam program in the particular lesson, where the work group dossier is also delivered. Note: Relevant literature is presented in the first lesson but also on the course course and posted on the Department's website.
