Course Content (Syllabus)
Dynamic response/seismic behavior of structures with emphasis on experimental methods. Destructive – Non destructive tests. Behavior of virgin structural members under seismic type loads. Types of damages. Materials and methods for repair / strengthening. System identification, dynamic interactions. Dynamic response of structures with either base fixity or on base isolation subjected to dynamic or earthquake excitations (shaking table). Sensors/measurements – Numerical simulations.
