Overview of bridge design and construction methods. Design actions for bridges. Seismic design of bridges to Eurocode 8 – Part 2. Seismic design of seismically isolated bridges. Nonlinear analysis of bridge structures. Current trends in performance-based seismic design of bridges. Design project (concrete bridge with seismic isolation system) Overview of the design and construction of tunnels, pipelines and other underground constructions. Design actions.
