Overview of bridge design and construction methods. Design actions for bridges. Seismic design of bridges to Eurocode 8 – Part 2. Seismic design of seismically isolated bridges. Nonlinear analysis of bridge structures. Current trends in performance-based seismic design of bridges. Design project (concrete bridge with seismic isolation system) Overview of the design and construction of tunnels, pipelines and other underground constructions. Design actions. Seismic design of tunnels, pipelines and other underground constructions. Design codes.
