Learning Outcomes
The unit will cover the main principles of children’s development and disorders encountered by people with disabilities. Further aim of the course is to design recreational and therapeutic exercise programs adapted in special of individuals with disabilities. Moreover, teaching appropriate adjustments in exercises, games and motor activities to increase the participation of people with disabilities in physical education classes and sports

Introduction to special education, basic principles, addressing children with disabilities, psychomotor development theories, developmental tests, motor disorders and exercise adaptations for people with disabilities
