Course Content (Syllabus)
Orofacial pain in dental patients is a common problem of every day practice. Students are learning how to recognize and be familiar with terms like trigeminal neuralgia, masseterial dysfunction pain and other terms of the pain vocabulary. The first two lectures are dealing with the basic knowledge of neurophysiology of pain and pain assessment. The third and fourth lectures are discussing diagnostic methods and pain differentiation. The rest lectures are dealing with the clinical appearance of orofacial pain like neuropathic pain, dental pain and every other form of pain in the face region. The final two lectures are dealing with the relation between pain and anxiety and the management of anxiety in such patients. Total number of lectures:13 Total number of hours: 26
