Course Content (Syllabus)
Study of historically important musical styles through the analysis of representative works. Analytical approach and understanding of compositional systems and their structural features. Verification of assimilation through the composition of short works in given style. Study of: classicism (variations, sonata form), romanticism (open forms, lied), early 20th century (polymodality, free atonality).
