Upon completing the course, students will be able to
-Analyze & evaluate contemporary intermedia artforms
-Familiarize themselves in depth with post-1950 graphic & verbal score repertoire
-Realize their own original intermedia & open form compositions, as well as original performance projects
-Develop critical listening skills
Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to intermedia and open form. Historic & stylistic overview of post-1950 repertoire. Extended notation & extended techniques. Αctive Listening. Constructing events & performance situations. Verbal, graphic and intermedia scores. Methods for analysing & interpreting intermedia. Realizing & composing original intermedia works using still & moving images, various types of text, bodily movement & sound.
