Course Content (Syllabus)
This course focuses on the technology and processes of music production in the recording studio. During the semester course students participate in a lab-based music production project which is employed in a high-end sound recording studio. During this process they develop both theoretical and practical skills in the following topics: Microphone technology and applications; Stereo-recording techniques; Sound recording & playback systems; Sound mixing consoles; Sound processing systems; and Multi-channel recording techniques.
