Learning Outcomes
Students will obtain elementary skills in the use of Spanish as a foreign language which will allow them to handle simple everyday communicative situations through written or oral texts. In particular, students should be able to understand a text in simple language, to adequately develop its central idea and be able to express themselves orally on simple topics related to their immediate environment.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Spanish as a foreign language through the teaching of grammar A1 proficiency level phenomena of the Common European Framework of Reference, using communicative methodology in order to achieve a combined learning of written and spoken production and comprehension in simple, colloquial language.

Description
Participation in classroom discussions. Papers/exercises, mid-term exam (optional). WRITTEN final exam (the exam covers all the topics of the course). Students must answer close and open answer exercises, for which the evaluation criteria are: Accuracy, correctness, comprehensibility.
