Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with a solid understanding and knowledge of Property Law. At the end of the course students are expected to be able to solve relevant legal cases.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Property Law (concept, contents, sources, fundamental principles), property rights (concept, legal nature, distinctions,acquisition,loss and protection of property rights), juridical acts in property law, things (concept, distinctions, components and accessories,fruits, benefits and duties), detention and possession(concept, types, legal nature, acquisition, preservation, exercise, loss, protection), ownership (concept, legal nature, distinctions, content, restrictions, acquisition, loss, protection), special types of ownership, servitudes (real servitudes, personal servitudes: usufruct, habitation and limited personal servitudes), real security rights (pledge, mortgage, prenotice of mortgage).

Student Assessment
Description
The performance of students is assessed by means of written exams, which take place at the end of each semester. Oral presentations and case-notes written by the students are also taken into consideration.
