Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of the course, students have the opportunity to understand and evaluate a section of the entire literary production of Hellenism during the Ottoman rule, to evaluate ideological trends and controversies, to understand the historical context and the role of important ecclesiastical personalities, to evaluate their impact in our time.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines: the intellectual movement of Hellenism in the era of Ottoman domination, the ideological tendencies and controversies formed in the Orthodox world after the Fall of Consntantinople. Also examines scholars and their publishing activity, mainly the publications of Pamphlets.
