With the end of seminar, the students will know well the development of Pedagogy in Germany and the work of the most important German educators. Also they can understand the work of the most significant Greek educators, which contributed in the configuration of modern Pedagogy in Greece.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Aim of this seminar is to examine the effects that practised the German pedagogic thought in corresponding Greek. More analytically are examined following thematic: the Bavarian effects at the 19th century in the Greek education and in the Pedagogy, the development of Pedagogy afterwards 1850, the first essential influences of German Pedagogy in the Greek reality, the foundation of Pedagogy as Science in Greece, the role of particular educators in the development of pedagogical thought in Germany and Greece. Obligatory written work. Examination: Written.
