Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will improve their singing ability, sharpen their analytical targeted listening, organize combined reading and vocal performance activities and practice the above.

Choral Conducting III
Choral Conducting in historical perspective. Gesture – exercises to develop choral conducting skills. Types of choirs and structure issues. Vocal technique (anatomy, breathing process, choral sound, supported singing voice and resonance balance, “placement” of the voice). Choral singing (developing choral sound, articulation, vocal exercises for choir rehearsal). Score study and preparation. Rehearsal techniques. Sight-reading and piano playing in treble, bass and C clefs (two voice pieces). Practice with conducting representative works from different eras.
