Theological and secular education. 6. The "Dark Ages" and the literary production. 7. St. John Damascene. Iconophiles and iconoclasts. 8. The end of iconoclasm and the redefinition of orthodoxy. 9. Sciences. 10. The classicism. 11. Education. 12. The limits of philosophical thought. 13. Conclusions.
