Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the teaching of the course will enable students to get to know and understand the ekdedomenes and unpublished sources on exploiting the rich manuscript tradition, the conciliar decisions of the institutions and the provisions of the Charter.
Moreover pursued through monitoring a scientific conference to indulge students knowledge more subtle aspects of the history of the sources of canon law.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The analysis of canonical collections and normal provisions produced in Byzantine and post-Byzantine period, normal responses and conciliar decisions and the provisions of the Charter. This course is structured as follows:
1. Canonical Collection and Nomo-canon in 50 Titles by John Scholasticus.
2. Nomo-Canon in 14 Titles.
3. Alphabetical Collection of Matthew Vlastares.
4. Manuscript Agia Anna 257.
5. The Nomo-canon of Isaac the Monk.
6. The Nomo-canonic of Theoklitos Karatzas.
7. Decisions Synodal Institutions I.
8. Decisions Synodal Institutions II.
9. Decisions Synodal Institutions III.
10. Interpretive Comments of John Zonaras and Theodore Balsamon.
11. Church Charters I.

Students undertake to prepare written work under the common scientific guidance of Professor, which I present in class at the end of the semester.
The monitoring of the course is taught in conjunction with the written work counting for the final evaluation.
