Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this course is to provide to students the ability for a further search and deal with special issues that come out of the cooperation between Pastoral Theology and Psychology in order to diagnose and get deal with the daily psychological facts of a modern believer. Moreover, students are getting in contact with the facts that a pastoral, as a psychologist, faces in his work field.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course refers to the studying of Pastoral Psychology's special issues. CONTENTS OF LECTURES 1) Introduction of the subject and its purpose. Presentation of work shop’s assignments and guidelines for their completion. Information on bibliography. 2) Pastoral Psychology and disease (incurable patient e.g. patient with cancer in the final stage). 3) The coordination between the pastoral psychologist and the health practitioners (doctors, nurses, hospital’s employees and health institutions). 4) The phenomenon of pastor’s ‘professional distress‘ 5) Pastoral Psychology and the Pastoral training at the health ministry. 6) Pastoral Psychology and the psychology of the foreigner. 7) Pastoral Psychology and the religious tourism (pilgrimages and 8) ‘Gerontismos – Gerontolagneia’: the psychological phenomenon of recovering the lack of spiritual life. 9) Pastoral Psychology and relationships between a Parish and a Monastery. Parish life and Monastic practice. 10) Pastoral Psychology and DDA (Disabled people and their environment: family and society) 11) Pastoral Psychology and Sports – Championship 12) Pastoral Psychology and transgender relationships. 13) Pastoral Psychology and sexual education.
