Students will acquire background knowledge about the child’s typical development and mostly about the various forms of developmental disorders, particularly at preschool age.

Course Content (Syllabus)
•Initially the course makes an overview to typical and atypical child development and continues with an overall discussion of developmental disorders and of specific developmental disorders and learning disabilities in particular. •It focuses on the distinction between intellectual disabilities and learning disabilities and on their developmental character from preschool age to completion of development. •Teaching is delivered in lectures and seminars where case studies are discussed and analyzed in order for similarities and differences in learning-disabled children, particularly of preschool age, to be detected.
