Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Flora, vegetation, abiotic factors that influence Greek terrestrial ecosystems. Contemporary Flora, endemism, rare and endangered plant species and their protection. Phyto-geographic divisions in Greece. Vegetation zones and extrazonal problems of evolution and classification. Azonal vegetation in particular ecosystems. Flowers and vegetation of Natural Parks, aesthetic forests, natural monuments, wetlands.
