Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to biomolecules. Hydrocarbons and their chemistry, stereochemistry, activity and biosynthesis. Aminoacids, peptides, proteins, enzymes and their chemistry, stereochemistry, activity and biosynthesis.. Lipids, phospholipids, steroids, prostaglandines and their chemistry, stereochemistry, activity and biosynthesis. Nucleic acids and nucleotides. Bioorganic chemistry and metabolic processes.
