Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students:
-Know the basic terms on plant diseases (stages of development, viruses, fungi, bacteria), weeds, arthropoda and the life cycle of insects.
-Have had adequate practice on translating into Greek authentic texts of the discipline.
-Know the theory of how to make a presentation.
-Have made 2 presentations on the same topic (the second presentation aims to review or improve the first).
Course Content (Syllabus)
Authentic texts on plant diseases (stages of development, viruses, fungi, bacteria), weeds, arthropoda and the life cycle of insects form the core of the course. Also regular practice on reading comprehension is exercised along with mediation and translation of terms in Greek. Moreover, the theory of making presentations is introduced and students have hands on experience by presenting their works in class (applies only for students who opted for this).
