Course Content (Syllabus)
Biological characteristics and cultivation techniques on a commercial basis of foliage plants, flowering pot plants and minor flowering crops. It covers, for each plant species, topics like propagation, irrigation, fertilization, environmental requirements, protection from pests and diseases, physiological disorders, postharvest handling, packaging . Emphasis is given on foliage plants, flowering pot plants (anthurium, gloxinia, cineraria, saintpaulia, hydrangea, begonia, kalanchoe, primula, pelargonium, etc.) and some minor cut flowers.
