Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Το recognize diseases and pests of bees
To treat the honeybees diseases
To use beekeeping manipulation in order to help the bees in the diseases treatment
To know the principles of the organic beekeeping

efense mechanisms of bee colony – hygienic behaviour, sanitary measures in the bee hive, bee diseases (pathogenesis, symptoms, treatment): American and European foulbrood, Nosemosis, Varroasis, Chalk brood, Stone brood, Tracheal mite, Waxmoth, Aethina tumida, birds, mammals, poisoning, pesticides residues, organic beekeeping
