Course Content (Syllabus)
This course is designed exclusively for classics majors. It explores the wide divergence of science throughout antiquity, for example, medicine and mathematics, by offering a detailed survey of the progress of scientific thought in ancient Greece, and by focusing on representative authors and works, which are studied closely from the original and are interpreted both on their own and in their intertextual relation to other works of antiquity.
