Acquisition from the students of 5th semester of Medical and Denstirstry Schools the knowledge of the causes of different pathological situations, so as to study in the next semester systemic pathology

Course Content (Syllabus)
What is a disease (Causes and mechanisms-What causes disease), Defence against disease (The role of epidemiology in disease, The body response to infection, The acute inflammatory response, Chronic and gramulomatous inflammation, healing and repair, The immune defence against infection), Circulatory disorders (Features of circulatory disorders, Vascular occlusion and thrombosis, Atherosclerosis and hypertension, Circulatroy failure), Cell growth and its disorders (Benign grown disorders, Malignant neoplasms, What causes cancer, Molecular genetics of cancer, The behaviour of tumours, The clinical effects of tumours)
