Learning Outcomes
After the completion of lectures and clinical training students are expected to hav a good deal of ability in:
- eliciting a focused neuroogical history
- performing an accurate neurological examination
- localizing a lesion and identifying the significance of neurological findings on
examination
- developing a practical approach for the evaluation, differential diagnosis and
management of a neurological disease
Course Content (Syllabus)
The syllabus provides an intergrated knowledge of the nervous system in physiological and pathological conditions. This knowledge derives from the study of anatomy and physiolgy of the nervous system asa well as from the understanding of the pathophysilogical mechanisms of disease and their diagnosis and treatment.
Clinical courses in the teaching room(theory) and practical training in the clinical wards (practice)include : history taking, understanding and performing a neurological examination,localize a lesion in the nervous system and recognize a neurological disease.
