Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have achieved an understanding of forces, general curvilinear motion, conservation laws, gravitation, and special theory of relativity. Students will be able to uses calculus and vector analysis in describing and solving physical problems.
Course Content (Syllabus)
General curvilinear motion of particles. Systems of reference and relative motion. Central forces and potential energy. Conservation laws of momentum, angular momentum and energy. Dynamics of a solid body. Gravitational field. Special theory of relativity. Relativistic dynamics.
