Learning Outcomes
With the successful consummation of the lecture, the students will:
1. know the geotectonic evolution of the Hellenic orogen, the connection of the Helloenic orogen with the geological zones and the Geology of the Greece surrounding countries (Northern and Eastern), as well as the position of teh Hellenides in the global geotectonic map.
2. learn the several views of the re3searches, on the question, how did develooped the Hellenides in the geological time, so that to understand the students the complexity of a research work, as well as the complexity of the evolution of the Hellenic orogen.
3. be exercised in the forming of geological cross-sections of true geological maps of the Hellenides for the better understand of the theoretical knowledge during the lecteures.

Comparative orogenic evolution of Hellenides. Views and models proposed for the geotectonic evolution of Hellenides in the broader Mediterranean. Neotectonic evolution and recent tectonic regime of the Hellenic arc.
