Quality control methods and Quality systems. Good laboratory practice. Validation of chemical analysis methods. Performance characteristics. Descriptive statistics, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing and significance. Analysis of variance, one and two way analysis. Regression analysis and correlation. Calibration of instrumental methods of chemical analysis. Errors and error propagation. Experimental design. Methods of factorial design and simplex. Optimization of analytical methods. Application examples of Chemometrics optimization in chemical systems. Fundamentals of metrology in chemistry. National quality system: EIM, ESYD, CD. Legal Metrology, Calibration Laboratories. Fundamental and derived units in the SI system. Traceability. Uncertainty according to ISO. Application to physical quantities. Implementation of respective units SI.
