They will understand the multiple affinities of comedy and tragedy through parody They will learn about Aristophanes' view of the other and gender identity They will associate drama with its contemporary historical context and Athenian beliefs about gender, foreigners and art THey will provide informed solutions to problems concerning ritual and institutions as reflected in the comedy and the poet's directorial choices
