Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course the students will 1) know the working conditions in Greek forestry and abroad, 2) will be able to select thε proper working equipment, 3) be aware of safety hazards, 4) be able to calculate work productivity and work cost and 5) will be able to minimize the environmental impacts of forest operations by means of re-organization.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Equipment, operations, systems, ergonomics, environmental impact and operational organisation of forest product harvesting. Processing, grading (assortment classification), transport of wood and non-wood forest products.
