The successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
•Have understood the atmospheric conditions for the creation of snowfall and the properties of snow on the surface of the soil
•Understanding the hydrological role of snow and its importance as an extremely important renewable resource
•Have understood the possibilities of developing snow sports and making better use of snowmobile in the context of mountain tourism
•Lastly, be aware of the methods and works of snow-settling
Course Content (Syllabus)
Snow meteorology, Snow Properties. Snow - underground waters and run-offs, snowmelt and floods. Snow-slides, snow-sloping hazards and deterrence. Snow-settling systems, forest and avalanches. Skiing center, Artificial Snow Generation. Snow accidents. methods ofcorecting avalanches.
