Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Geology – Stratigraphy – Tectonics. Classification and properties of rock masses and soils. Brief presentation of Greece’s Geology. Research methods of underground investigation. Technical review of geomaterials. Introduction to Rock Mechanics. Laboratory tests. Underground aquifer in Geomechanics. Ground subsidences (landslides – settlements). Methodology of geostationary checks. Practice exercises – projects (stratigraphy sections, structure mapping, interpretation of geological research tasks, slope stability)
