Course Content (Syllabus)
The students of the I Semester have the opportunity to contact and get familiar with different aspects of the early church literature and spiritual life of the Slavic people – starting with the period before their Christianization and continuing through the period of their Christianization and their inclusion in the spiritual and cultural context of the Greco-Roman world. The students get to know the ancient monuments of the Slavic written language, dating from this period, which are also the oldest expressions of their culture. At the same time they are informed about specific issues relating to the history and development of the research of the Slavic world, and about basic literature.
