Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to metrology (structure and perspective of the Greek metrology system). Units and methodology of measurement for mass-volume-density, force-pressure-momentum-hardness, temperature, dimensions. Quality control.Calibration, certification, accreditation, standardization,, comparative measurements. Homeworks and visits to metrology laboratories. (certification, assessment, appraisal). Typical uncertainty calculation scenarios including the necessary mathematical background.
